Claim Insight/EDI Viewer 2.15.4 Release: Faster Ad Hoc Conversion and Expanded EDI Details
We’re pleased to announce version 2.15.4 of Claim Insight/EDI Viewer. If you use our hosted service, your instance has already been updated automatically.
This release introduces a faster way to convert EDI files on demand, displays more information from 835 and 837 transactions, expands CSV output, and refreshes several healthcare code sets.
More EDI Details
Remittance Delivery Method (835)
The 835 details screen now displays the remittance delivery method, including the payment transmission type, in the “Check/EFT Info” section.
Claim and Line-Level Attachments (837)
The claim and service-line details screens now include attachment grids, making the attachment information carried in 837 transactions easier to find and review.
Improved Notes Display
Each note now appears in its own section under a heading that identifies the note type. Previously, multiple notes were combined into a single field.
Ad Hoc EDI File Conversion
The new “Convert Files” view lets you convert EDI files without first loading them into the Claim Insight database. Select files from your computer or drag and drop them into the upload area, then start the conversion directly from the same screen. This streamlined workflow is especially useful for quick, one-time conversions.
You can process multiple files in one batch and choose the output that fits your workflow:
- Download a separate result for each uploaded file, or combine the converted data into a single output file.
- Generate Excel workbooks instead of CSV files when you want spreadsheet-ready output.
- Convert
834enrollment and benefit files in addition to the existing835remittance and837claim formats.
When processing finishes, the view provides direct download links for the generated CSV files or Excel workbooks.
CSV Layout Changes
We’ve added the Payee Tax ID column to claim-level CSV output for 835 transactions.
For 837I transactions, claim-level CSV output now includes the Treatment1Code, Treatment2Code, and Treatment3Code columns.
Code Set Updates
We’ve refreshed the built-in code sets with current HCPCS, NDC, provider taxonomy, and ICD-10-PCS codes.
This release is part of our ongoing effort to make Claim Insight/EDI Viewer faster, more useful, and more transparent for healthcare IT teams and billing professionals.
