EDI Converter 2.15.6 Release: Security Updates and Multiple ISA Segment Support

We’re pleased to announce version 2.15.6 of our EDI Converter.

This is a maintenance release focused on updated dependencies and security, with zero reported CVEs at release time. It also improves support for files containing multiple EDI interchanges, makes Excel sheet names more intuitive and customizable, and fixes several non-critical defects. There are no major functionality changes.

Dependency and Security Updates

We’ve updated the converter’s third-party dependencies to incorporate upstream security fixes and maintenance improvements. We recommend upgrading to keep your deployment current with these updates.

See our security reports for CVE reports and the software bill of materials (SBOM).

Multiple ISA Segments in One File

The converter now supports multiple interchanges, each beginning with an ISA segment, in a single EDI file. Each interchange can use its own delimiters, so files containing interchanges with different delimiter sets can be processed together.

Excel Sheet Names

When converting 835 transactions to Excel, the Transaction sheet is now named Remittances to better reflect its contents.

You can also customize Excel sheet names in the csv_conversion.yml conversion configuration file. See the conversion configuration guide for details on configuring CSV and Excel output.

If your Excel workflows refer to the Transaction sheet by name, update them to use Remittances or your configured sheet name.

Bug Fixes

We’ve fixed several non-critical defects, including an issue with command-line Excel conversion on Linux and macOS. Excel conversion now runs without starting a background Java process.
