Payment Examples in X12 EDI Format
We’ve added several interactive examples of payment transactions (835 EDI transaction) to our collection of EDI examples.
Payers send 835 transactions to providers. An 835 transaction serves as a payment advice explaining what claims and service lines are being paid. An 835 has references to claims previously submitted by providers using 837 transactions.
Payment transactions also provide information on how much is being paid and on the amount of the remaining patient responsibility.
